River Great Ouse on a winters day
The Society has the rights to fish on the south bank of the Great Ouse behind the village of Earith. Access is from the road adjacent to the Hermitage Lock at Earith Bridge. The best fishing is during the summer months as during periods of heavy winter rain, the river frequently floods. Most likely species to be caught are Roach, Rudd, Bream, Perch, Dace, Chub & Pike.
